CCH Kids - Children Ministry Overview
Children's Ministry Mission Statement:
"A safe and fun place where children experience God’s love, study God’s Word, discern God’s will, and discover how they can live a life pleasing to Jesus every day"
We consider it an honor and a privilege to serve our Lord by ministering to His littlest lambs and their families. We take our responsibility for their care and instruction sincerely, providing a team of individuals who are trained, screened, and have had a national background check completed through Choice Point and Safe Church. We require that all children be signed in and out of their classes by a parent or guardian and ask that no personal items (other than labeled sippy-cups and diaper bags) be brought into the classrooms.
Calvary Chapel Heartland is a Bible teaching fellowship therefore we emphasize Biblical accuracy in our lessons and a Biblical servitude in our actions.
Jesus said that perfect praise rises from the mouths of babes and nursing infants in Matthew 21:16. We staff our Nursery with volunteers who care and love our little choir of children newborn to18 months. A Nursing Mother’s room is also available within the nursery where moms can tend to their infants while hearing the word of God.
Psalm 33:3 says “Sing to HIM a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.” Therefore our Toddlers and Preschoolers enjoy making friends and learning about God’s promises through intentional and purposeful play, songs, simple crafts and Bible lessons.
Like Timothy, (2 Timothy 3:15-17) Heartland kids are taught the Holy Scriptures and gain knowledge and wisdom to receive salvation by trusting in Christ Jesus. They learn His truths through skits, object lessons, prayer, fellowship, verse memorization, mission projects and small group discussions. Understanding that Bible study is useful to teach what is true, to realize what is wrong, how to do what is right, and that God uses His Word to prepare and equip His kids to do every good work.
Through out the year special events, family movie nights and Vacation Bible School are held to assist parents in training up their children in the way that they should go, (Proverbs 22:6) preparing them for lives filled with a genuine love for the Lord and His people.
